Discovering ANAL Amyl: A Couple’s First Experience

A new formula, a new bottle, and two curious customers. What could possibly go wrong?

We recently introduced Amyl ANAL Poppers Ultimate 15 ml, featuring our new PURE-AMYL formula, containing over 90% amyl nitrite. The formula is not the only thing that is new. The bottle is different too. Taller, shinier, and with a completely new look.

Rather than telling you what we think about the new formula, we turned to our Poppers Tester Crew. This is a group of customers who know their poppers, have strong opinions, and enjoy sharing their experiences with us.

For this article, we gave a bottle to two members, a real-life couple and loyal customers, and asked them to document their first encounter. From examining the packaging and opening the bottle to sharing their personal opinions after trying them. We asked for honest feedback, and that is exactly what we received.

They already knew the other two products in our ANAL Poppers range: ANAL Poppers for Beginners (strength 4 out of 6) and ANAL Poppers Ultimate Extra Strong (strength 6 out of 6). Both contain pentyl nitrite, so they were particularly curious about what the new amyl formula would feel like for them.

Saturday Night: Time to Discover Something New

We decided to try ANAL Amyl Poppers on a Saturday evening as neither of us had to work over the weekend, so we had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves.

We were quite excited because we had already tried the other two ANAL Poppers products and liked them both. We had also heard plenty of stories about the original amyl poppers from years ago, although neither of us had actually experienced that original formula.

We started by first examining the new bottle. The first thing we noticed was the size. At 15 ml, it is taller than the regular 10-ml bottles we’re all familiar with, but smaller in capacity than our 25 ml square bottles. It also feels quite different in the hand. The bottle is sturdy, the label is shiny, and the whole presentation feels more premium. We could tell the contents were different.

Opening the Bottle: A Little More Complicated Than Expected

The entire bottle was covered in a tight plastic wrapping, including the cap. We usually prepare everything before we start playing as the last thing we want is to be struggling with packaging in the middle of a session. Since this was a compeltely new bottle, we decided to take our time and document the opening process.

At first, we were not quite sure how to remove the wrapping. My partner usually uses his teeth, but I told him to act civilized for this! The plastic was thicker than we expected but we discovered a perforated line that made it easier to tear.

We did notice that the perforation continued all the way down the bottle. We realised that removing the entire wrapping would also remove the label. We were careful not to do so as we wanted to keep the bottle looking nice, so we stopped peeling before reaching the bottom of the label.

Next came the cap… a child-resistant cap, so opening it required pushing down and turning. There was also a safety seal to break. Combining those two things required a little more effort than we were used to and joked how we would not get this open if we had lube on our hands.

Once we managed to remove it, we noticed how sturdy the cap felt. The bottle also has a particularly small opening, something we had not encountered on our other ANAL Poppers bottles.

Since we normally use a booster cap with our poppers, we had to use the black XTRM XS Booster Cap, which was luckily included in the package. Booster caps are a category of products we were already familiar with, and we wanted to keep our usual setup while discovering the new formula.

We then returned to the wrapping as we did not the plastic that was still there, so we trimmed the remaining material with scissors. This is why we prepare the bottle before playing as we do not keep any scissors at hand.
That was it! The bottle was ready, the label was still there, and we had learned quite a lot about the packaging before even trying the contents.

Our First Experience: Not Quite What We Expected

I have to admit that my expectations were high, maybe too high. We had heard so much about amyl poppers over the years that I had built up an idea of what the experience would be like. I expected something powerful and immediate.

But my first impression was different than I expected. The smell was quite strong and different from the pentyl and hexyl formulas. But the “hit” did not arrive as quickly as I expected.

At first, I wondered whether I had expected too much, I was simply thinking too much. Then I began to feel the heat. For me, it was a gradual, relaxing sensation that developed into something quite strong, without feeling overwhelming. It felt appropriate for a strength rating of 5 out of 6, although the way it developed was different from the other formulas I had tried.

What surprised me most was how long the sensation seemed to last. Compared to other formulas, the initial build-up felt slower, but the effect seemed to stay with me for longer.

Meanwhile, my partner was watching me, curious to see my reaction and to also help me with feedback as we wanted to document a real situation.

One Formula, Two Different Opinions

We eventually moved on to playing together. I love giving oral sex, and I was curious to see how I would experience the new formula during. For me, this turned out to be incredible enjoyable. I liked the gradual sensation, rather than experiencing an immediate kick, I loved how the onset developed while increasing the intensity of how I was sucking.

My partner, however, had a different opinion on the formula. He is a dom top and generally prefers poppers that feel strong and immediate. He also uses them less frequently than I do, so his expectations are quite different from mine. He prefers a formula with a more noticeable initial kick. Since the ANAL Amyl did not give him the immediate sensation he was looking for, he felt it was not doing it for him.

And that was interesting. We had tried exactly the same product on the same evening, but our impressions were different as we also have different roles in the couple. For me, the slower development was something that made oral for me even more enjoyable. For him, he prefered other formulas that put him immediately in control.

Would we choose ANAL Amyl again?

Yes, I would! Personally, I would choose ANAL Amyl again for oral sex. I particularly liked how the sensation developed, and I think it suited my preferences during that experience. The formula felt like it developed with me, it was great.

It is important to note that we did not have penetrative anal sex that evening, so I cannot say how I would feel about using this formula as a bottom. We already know and like the other two ANAL products, and those remain familiar options for us for anal.

My partner is more likely to stick with the stronger, more immediate formulas he already enjoys. The interesting thing about ANAL Amyl is that it sits between the other two ANAL products in terms of its advertised strength, but the experience did not feel like a simple halfway point. The formula itself made a huge difference to how I experienced it.

Final Thoughts: Keep an Open Mind

Looking back, I think my biggest mistake was expecting the new amyl formula to feel exactly like the stories I had heard. I had never tried those original amyl poppers, so I really had no personal point of comparison. And I was expecting a very particular sensation before we had even opened the bottle.

Once I stopped comparing the experience and started feeling, I could appreciate what I personally liked about it. It was not an immediate, overwhelming rush but I loved how much it helped me enjoy oral sex more, and please not it is my favourite thing to do.

Would it replace all our other poppers? No. We have different preferences, and different formulas appeal to each of us. This is a great add on for me as an oral lover.

Our conclusion? This is an interesting addition to our collection, and one that reminded us how one formula does not fit all!
