AGS 2025: Celebrating gear, community and the joy of using poppers safely

On February 15, 2025, the Alpha Gear Society (AGS) hosted its first gear-focused event in Biberist, Switzerland. Around 300 participants from the DACH region and even some guests from the US came together to dance, share and live out their fetishes in a supportive atmosphere. For us at Poppers-Online, this event was a special milestone to be on site with our very first booth – after 11 years in the poppers business. Our mission is to break down taboos around poppers and to support and educate the community.

Why We Showed Up

Since our beginnings, our aim at Poppers-Online has been to demystify poppers and ensure that all interested parties receive reliable and informed information. Whether someone is trying poppers for the first time or is a seasoned consumer, we want to provide the right products and the advice needed to make it safe and enjoyable to use. The direct exchange with our customers – instead of just online – gave us the opportunity to share our expertise and answer questions on the spot.

Our presence at the AGS event showed that we are more than just an online store: We are partners on the path to a fulfilling sex life. Events like the AGS help us stay in touch with the real community – be it rubber, MX gear, sneaker culture, pup play or other gear fetishes. In short, we were there to show that we support you – without judgment, but with honest and open advice for the safe and enjoyable use of poppers.

Inside the First Alpha Gear Society Experience

Organized by Gear Hub Schweiz, this first edition of AGS brought to life a multi-zoned playground that catered to a wide spectrum of fetishes and gear styles. Between the dancefloor – lit up by pulsating DJ sets – and the two bar areas, attendees had plenty of room to socialize, grab drinks, and check out each other’s gear. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, welcoming both hardcore gear enthusiasts and curious newcomers. A beautiful mix!

A dark room offered discreet spaces for those who wanted to get more intimate or simply retreat from the crowds for a while. The event also featured a puppy zone, a motocross zone complete with actual bikes, and a SWAT zone for tactical scenarios – each area designed to let people immerse themselves in their chosen fetish or discover something completely new.

Between all the dancing and socializing, gear wasn’t just clothing, it was identity. AGS provided an environment where you could try out and find out what feels authentic – without having to ask yourself if you are “gear enough”. Rubber suits, MX pants, puppy hoods, sneakers, helmets – everyone celebrated together what gear means to them. This openness gave the event an electrifying and, for us, unique atmosphere and made the first edition a huge success for the Swiss community.

Our Booth, Our Thanks

We set up our stand in the entrance area of the event with two glass display cases in which we presented the latest poppers and accessories, and set up a tasting corner where visitors could try out products such as Hard F*CK Poppers and the XTRM Biest. It was also exciting for us to see how many attendees – whether Poppers newbies or longtime fans and customers of Poppers-Online – stopped by to get information and have a little taste. Some fans stopped by our stand X times for a taste.

We placed particular emphasis on explaining ingredients, application tips, accessories and potential side effects so that everyone left the stand with more knowledge and confidence.

We owe a BIG thanks to everyone who visited us. Your curiosity, feedback, and enthusiasm made our first physical booth appearance truly special. We also want to applaud everyone behind AGS for taking a risk on hosting a fresh event format. Organizing something like this for the first time takes real courage, but the payoff was incredible – 300 folks with varied interests, all under one roof, made for an unforgettable night.

The Vibe from SoxGuys

One highlight was the feedback from fetish influencers, such as the SoxGuys, who shared their experiences. They said that they were a little nervous before the event – were they “gear enough”? But these concerns disappeared as soon as they entered the location. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and diverse in age (18-60 years). Whether at the bar, on the dance floor in rubber or MX gear or in the play zones – everyone found their place.

SoxGuys reported that it was easy to strike up a conversation, flirt or get involved in more when the moment was right. The next room had a “full Berlin vibe” with five play zones that really came to life after midnight. In their estimation, it was a safe, sex-positive space that was hot and extremely social at the same time. The SoxGuys also tested some poppers at our stand – need we say more?
